18 06 2007

(PR) BRING ME THE HORIZON will be coming to America this summer with an impressive lineup of bands that include IT DIES TODAY, KITTIE, SILENT CIVILLIAN and BLESSED BY A BROKEN HEART.

Fresh off the band’s breakthrough performance in front of a crowd of over 10,000 fans at Download 2007 (where they were considered to have one of largest, most brutal pits of the entire festival), BRING ME THE HORIZON is looking to take the same smash-mouth energy that has become a hallmark of their live act and immerse America into the raucous brilliance that the rest of the world has already come to know and love.

Artist Description for Bring Me the Horizon

18 06 2007

Bring Me The Horizon is a five-piece hardcore/metal core band from Sheffield, England. Despite only forming in March 2004, the band has gathered a surprisingly large fan base both in the UK and the U.S. Much of this success can be attributed to a relentless touring schedule and their popularity on MySpace. Their debut EP, This Is What The Edge Of Your Seat Was Made For, came out in December 2004 and was the first release from the independent label Thirty Days Of Night Records. The band has since embarked on a number of UK tours supporting well-established bands such as Bleeding Through and Aiden, and also signed with Visible Noise Records in the autumn of 2005. The EP was re-released in January 2006 ,via Visible Noise, to a mainly positive critical response. In September 2006 the band won Best British Newcomer at the Kerrang! Magazine Awards. Their debut album, Count Your Blessings, was released on 30th October 2006 amid a large headlining UK tour.

After an incident involving lead singer Oli Sykes and a female fan in April 2007, the band is now banned from playing Rock City in Nottingham.
